Sam Jiang

Senior Residential Designer

Residential Design & Permitting Lead

Sam Jiang is a UC Berkeley-trained architectural designer with extensive experience in residential architecture, including home renovations, additions, ADUs, and permit documentation.

His work focuses on translating design ideas into practical, buildable solutions while navigating the technical, documentation, and permitting requirements of Bay Area residential projects.

At GUO Architecture, he focuses on residential design development, ADU projects, permit coordination, and project documentation. He works closely with clients to understand their priorities, explain design options, and keep decisions grounded in the needs of their home and daily life.

His familiarity with the Bay Area’s residential design community informs a collaborative approach to each project. He values clear communication among homeowners and project collaborators, helping connect design intent with the practical conversations needed to move the work forward.

From early discussions through design development and permit coordination, Sam helps clients navigate questions and understand next steps. His approach emphasizes attentive listening, thoughtful follow-through, and continuity throughout the design process.
